LPO lauded by Kennedy Center President
Michael Kaiser, President of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, has met with many dedicated arts professionals in New Orleans since Hurricane Katrina. After the Kennedy Center adopted the LPO immediately following the hurricane, he has developed his “New Orleans family of arts managers and musicians and board members” and considers the progress the symphony has made since those first days to be amazing. Kaiser credits the success of the orchestra to the musicians and leaders including chairman Hugh Long, Maestro Carlos Miguel Prieto, and executive director Babs Mollere.
